Confidentiality Policy for Users of the Andee App

This policy applies to users of the Andee app (the “App”). It provides details about how your personal information is managed and protected when you download and use the App.

Also, when you use the App, information about you may be stored in cookies installed on your mobile device. Some cookies are necessary for the App to work and others allow for optimizing and customizing the content displayed. 

By accepting the Terms of Use and using the App, you agree that your personal data may be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with this policy.

Definitions used in this policy

We/our refers to: Neuro Solutions Group

Personal information refers to: any information that relates to an individual and that, taken separately or combined with other data, can be used to identify him/her.

You/your refers to: anyone downloading and using the App.

This policy must be read in conjunction with the Terms of Use. You may access these terms and conditions by visiting the “Settings” section in the App.

CONSENT

We need your consent to collect, use or disclose your personal information, unless required or permitted by law. Providing us with certain personal information voluntarily is interpreted as consent from you to collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with this policy.

Furthermore, by downloading, activating and using the App, as well as by accepting the terms of use specific to it, you agree to your data being collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the applicable sections of this policy.

Withdrawal of your consent

You may withdraw your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information at any time by sending us a written request to this end. However, please note that anonymized information that cannot be used to identify you will be retained.

What information is collected by the App and how is it used and communicated?

Once you download the App, in order to create your account and verify your identify, we will ask you to provide us with the personal information of the responsible for the account, i.e. the employer’s full name, email address.

The email address is used to send you notifications about the App.

You may stop receiving notifications from the Andee app at any time by changing your Communication preferences in the Account settings, in the Settings section of the App.

What personal information do we collect?

When you create your account:

You can create an account by giving us only your email address and full name, then creating a password.

When paying

Since we use third-party companies (“Third Parties”) to process your payment, we do not collect any information about your transactions during in-app purchases in the Apple Store or Google Play, such as your credit or debit card number. Please note that, in addition to this Policy, the processing of your payment will be subject to the Third Party’s confidentiality policy.

When using the App:

When you use the App, you are invited to create a EMPLOYER module as well as one or more EMPLOYEE’s modules. As ANDEE is an App that makes it easier to realize tasks, we collect, in particular, information you enter in the App yourself, including:

  • Your preferred language
  • Your subscription type
  • The employee’s name
  • The tasks per day and the information associated with it (active tasks, to be validated, number of tasks, task title, etc.)
  • Schedules and associated information (active and inactive days)

In addition to this information, we collect the following data:

  • Section visited and number of time spent visiting
  • Duration of use
  • Device type and number of devices connected to the account
  • Reading of notifications
  • Completion rate statistics
  • Opening of emails/clicking on email links

Please note that we reserve the right to request an update of the data we collect. However, you will be informed in advance.

How do we use your personal information?

We only collect the personal information necessary to offer you the service you need and that we obtain with your consent. Specifically, this means that the information provided makes it possible for us to support you in managing your employee’s tasks and offer you feedback.

The information in the App may also be used for research and development purposes in order to improve your user experience inside the App. In this case, your information will be anonymized and used mainly for statistical purposes. Furthermore, since we exist to create technological solutions to improve the everyday lives of people living with disabilities, we are committed to participating in the advancement of research in this field. Thus, by using ANDEE, you will be contributing to this mission. However, we want to reassure you: no identifiable information will be used. As mentioned above, this information is anonymized and used for statistical and research purposes. 

Data retention

Please note that we will keep your personal data for as long as you use our App and for a period after your subscription ends so that you can retrieve your information in the event that you wish to resubscribe. If you would like your data to be destroyed after cancelling your subscription, please send us a written request to this end by writing to: contact@andee.ca

Use of cookies and similar technologies

When you use our App or visit our website, information about you may be recorded in cookies or other tools installed by us or by third parties in your computer, tablet or mobile phone. To learn more about our practice in this regard, we invite you to visit our www.andee.ca

How do we share your personal information? 

Sometimes we may have to share your personal data with agents or other parties to help us make all the App’s features available (maintenance, analysis, legal requirement, fraud detection, marketing and development). Please note that these may be located in Canada or in other jurisdictions or countries. They will only have access to the personal information necessary to carry out these tasks on our behalf and they are required not to disclose it or use it for other purposes. Please be aware that we have contractual agreements with these providers to guarantee the security of your data. Please note that we may also share your personal information as required by law, to comply with rules or to protect our security or our rights or those of others.

Furthermore, as mentioned in the section “How do we use your personal data?”, we may share anonymized data.

How do we protect your personal information?

The security and confidentiality of your personal information are important to us. We strive to apply the necessary and appropriate security measures in order to guarantee the confidentiality of the personal information in our possession. To do so, we follow generally accepted industry standards. The personal data we hold are therefore only accessible to persons needing to know them and who use them only when necessary to carry out their duties.

How can you access and correct your personal information?

You have access to your personal information through your user account in the App. You can correct and update some of your personal information using this method.

You may request access to your personal information or information about the existence of such information or the way in which we collect, use, retain and/or disclose your personal data. You may also request that the information held by GNS be rectified if it is inaccurate, wrong or incomplete.

You may submit a written request to this end by writing to the Privacy Manager at the address specified in the “Questions, comments, complaints” section below.

If you would like to obtain copies of your personal information, we may have to charge you a small fee, which would be notified to you in advance, only to cover the costs of transcription, reproduction or transmission.

PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM THE EUROPEAN UNION

If you are an individual located in the European Union at the moment of collection, you can exercise the following rights over the personal information collected, processed or disclosed about you.

  • Information: Right to be informed of how your personal information is processed, i.e. what, who and how;
  • Access: Right to know the personal information we have in our possession, right to request access and receive a copy;
  • Correction: Right to correct any incomplete or inaccurate information;
  • Consent: Right to withdraw consent to the processing of your personal information;
  • Restriction: Right to request the suspension of processing of certain information to allow for establishing the reason for its processing or their accuracy;
  • Erasure: Right to request the erasure or removal of the information. In particular, we may refuse to erase your personal data if these are required for the purposes of compliance with applicable laws or claims;
  • Objection: Right to object to the processing of information based on a legitimate interest or for direct marketing purposes;
  • Portability: Right to request the transfer of your personal information to another party.
  • Automated decisions: Right to challenge any automated decision when such a decision has a legal or similar significance and request reconsideration by a human.
